Faisal's Food Reviews: Downtown Dumpling Market

Melbourne's Downtown Dumpling Market at Birrarung Marr was a delightful culinary adventure for dumpling lovers of all kinds. Held from November 9 to 26, the market showcased a diverse array of dumplings from all corners of the globe, tantalizing taste buds with an explosion of flavors and textures.

The open-air atmosphere of the market added to the charm, providing a lively and vibrant backdrop to your meal. The bustling stalls, filled with the enticing aromas of steaming dumplings and simmering sauces, created an irresistible sensory overload. As I wandered through the market, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation, eager to sample the culinary treasures that awaited me.

From traditional xiao long bao and gyoza to more adventurous creations like turkish dumplings (manti), the market offered a dumpling variety that catered to every palate. I was particularly impressed by the creativity and innovation on display, with vendors pushing the boundaries of dumpling cuisine.

Pricewise, it is on the upper-end, but I reckon its worth it if you come with a few friends, order a varity of dumpling types from different stalls and share them around!

On top of this, being located near flinders street station, you can head anywhere in the CBD for post drinks/fun events after your dumpling feast.

Here is a more detailed breakdown of my rating:

- Food: 7/10

- Service: 6/10

- Atmosphere: 9/10

- Value: 7/10

- Overall: 7.3/10

If you wanna try something unique with your friends and are interested in exploring the variey of dumpling types from around the globe, would highly recommend the Downtown Dumpling Market!
